The Bosch 2 608 620 730 X-LOCK Clean for Metal Cup Brush with brass-coated crimped wire delivers an extra-fine surface finish for cleaning and surface preparation. Designed for use with X-LOCK angle grinders, this single-piece cup brush has a flat centre and is suitable for work on aluminium, non-ferrous metals, pipes, profiles and steel. The brass-coated wires reduce corrosion and are intended for light-to-medium-duty removal of coatings, rust and paint from medium-to-large metal and non-ferrous metal surfaces.

Advantages

The brass-coated crimped wire provides corrosion resistance while maintaining effective cleaning performance. The flat-centre cup design enables stable contact with flat and slightly curved surfaces. Compatibility with X-LOCK angle grinders ensures quick and secure mounting. Supplied as a single unit for straightforward replacement and inventory control.

How to use

Mount the cup brush onto a compatible X-LOCK angle grinder following the tool manufacturer's instructions and ensure the grinder is disconnected from power during fitting. Check that the brush is securely locked in place before operation. Operate the grinder at the recommended speed for the brush and apply light, even pressure while working across the surface. Avoid excessive pressure or side loading to prevent premature wear of the brush and to maintain a consistent finish. After use, allow the brush to stop rotating completely before removing or storing.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection, gloves and hearing protection. Inspect the brush for damage before use and replace if wires are excessively worn or missing. Do not use the brush on materials or speeds not specified by the tool or accessory manufacturer.
