BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-2M-BO Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών InfiniBand 2m SFP28 Βύσμα

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-2M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 2-meter active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 male connectors on both ends. Designed for 25GBASE applications, it integrates transmitters and receivers at each end to transfer optical signals over multimode fiber and supports high-speed protocols such as Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet. The cable follows industry MSA form factors and is intended for use in data centers, high-performance computing, and network equipment that accept SFP28 AOC modules.

Advantages

This AOC provides low-latency, high-bandwidth links without susceptibility to electromagnetic interference, enabling reliable short-reach optical connections. As a pre-assembled SFP28-to-SFP28 solution, it eliminates patching and connector cleaning associated with patchcords and reduces insertion loss compared with field-terminated links. The integrated digital diagnostics (DDM/DOM) capability offers real-time monitoring of supply voltage, laser bias current, output and input optical power, and temperature to simplify troubleshooting and remote maintenance.

How to use

Insert the SFP28 modules into the SFP28 ports of the compatible devices until they latch. Ensure both ends are fully seated and that connected equipment supports SFP28 AOC modules and the DDM/DOM interface if monitoring is required. No additional patching or fiber cleaning is necessary for the pre-assembled cable; handle by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling forces on the cable during installation. Verify link status on connected devices and check DDM parameters if available to confirm signal integrity.

Recommendations

Confirm hardware compatibility and software/firmware support for SFP28 AOC modules in your switches, routers, and storage systems before deployment. Route the cable to avoid tight bend radii and mechanical strain, and monitor DDM values periodically for early detection of optical performance degradation.
