BlueOptics Q9S70A-BO Καλώδιο οπτικής ίνας InfiniBand 15 m SFP28 Aqua

The BlueOptics Q9S70A-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15 m SFP28 Aqua is a 15-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28-to-SFP28 connectors designed for 25GBASE-SR4 multi-mode optical links. It integrates a transmitter and receiver on each end and is engineered for high-speed data transmission in data centres and networking environments that support SFP28 modules and 25 Gbit/s per lane operation. The Aqua jacket and SFP28 interface make it suitable for short-reach multi-mode fibre connections where predictable latency, immunity to electromagnetic interference and compact plug-and-play installation are required.

Advantages

This BlueOptics AOC is built to MSA-compatible specifications for SFP28 connectivity and supports up to 25 Gbit/s per lane over a 15 m multi-mode link. Active optical conversion on both ends reduces the need for external transceivers or patching, lowering insertion losses and simplifying installation. The cable provides immunity to EMI, predictable optical performance and an integrated digital diagnostics (DDM/DOM) interface for real-time monitoring of supply voltage, laser bias current, transmit output power, receive input power and temperature, provided the host hardware supports DDM. Components are selected from established communications suppliers to deliver long service life and stable performance in professional networking environments.

How to use

Install the cable by plugging the SFP28 connectors into compatible SFP28 ports on the devices to be linked, ensuring the connectors are fully seated and any retention latches are engaged. Confirm that the host equipment supports active optical cables and, if DDM/DOM monitoring is required, verify that the platform exposes diagnostic readings. No additional transceivers or fibre patching is needed; the pre-terminated AOC provides a direct optical connection. After connection, check link status and diagnostic parameters via the switch or server management interface to confirm correct operation.

Recommendations

Use this 15 m SFP28 AOC for short-reach multi-mode connections inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling forces on the cable; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and secure the cable to prevent mechanical strain. Ensure host firmware or drivers are up to date to guarantee compatibility with DDM/DOM features and SFP28 AOC operation.
