Key specifications

How to use

Insert the SFP module into the SFP port of a compatible network device while the device is powered on or according to the host’s hot-swap procedure. Connect the multimode fiber cables to the module’s optical ports using appropriate LC connectors and ensure correct end-to-end polarity. Verify link status on the host device and configure interface settings for 1 Gbps operation if required. Follow the equipment vendor’s guidance for any device-specific diagnostics and LED indicators.

Recommendations

Use multimode fiber rated for the intended link distance and maintain clean connector end-faces to minimize signal loss. For reliable operation, match modal bandwidth of the cable to the expected reach at 850 nm and observe ESD precautions when handling the module. Check compatibility notes in the host device documentation before deployment.
