Μονάδα SFP CBO MA-SFP-1GB-SX-BO 1000 Mbit/s 850 nm

CBO MA-SFP-1GB-SX-BO is an SFP transceiver module that supports a 1000 Mbit/s data rate and operates at an 850 nm wavelength. The module is intended for short-reach multimode fiber links and provides a compact, hot-pluggable solution for establishing gigabit uplinks and point-to-point connections between switches, servers and media converters. Its small form factor allows installation in dense rack and telecom environments while minimizing downtime during maintenance.

Advantages

The module offers reliable gigabit performance for short-distance fiber connections and supports hot-plug insertion for quick replacement without powering down equipment. Its standardized SFP form factor ensures wide compatibility with devices that accept SFP transceivers. The 850 nm wavelength is optimized for multimode fiber runs, enabling predictable signal behavior and stable throughput in campus and data center patching scenarios.

Key specifications

How to use

Insert the SFP module into an available SFP slot on a compatible switch, server NIC or media converter while the host device is powered on if hot-swap capability is supported. Connect the multimode fiber patch cord to the optical interface and ensure proper duplex orientation. Verify link status through the host device’s management interface or LED indicators and configure the interface for 1 Gbit/s operation if necessary. For removal, follow the equipment manufacturer’s procedure to avoid damaging the fiber connector or transceiver.

Recommendations

Use multimode fiber patch cords with appropriate connector types and maintain clean connectors to prevent signal loss. Match the module’s 850 nm wavelength and multimode fiber specifications to the existing cabling infrastructure. For optimal performance, limit this module to intended short-reach links and consult equipment compatibility lists when integrating into managed network hardware.
