The BlueOptics Fiber optic SFP+ module CBO 61485-BO 10000 Mbit/s LC is a compact SFP+ transceiver designed to provide 10 Gbit/s data transfer over duplex LC fiber connections. Intended for use in switches, routers and other optical network equipment, the module supports high-speed uplinks and point-to-point links between devices. Its SFP+ form factor enables easy installation and hot-swap replacement for maintenance or capacity upgrades without powering down the host device.

Advantages

This module delivers 10,000 Mbit/s throughput over fiber with low-latency performance suitable for demanding network environments. The LC duplex interface ensures compatibility with standard single-mode or multimode fiber patching (check system compatibility), while the industry-standard SFP+ form factor allows broad interoperability with network equipment that supports SFP+ transceivers. The compact, replaceable design simplifies upgrades and reduces downtime during maintenance.

Suitable for

• High-speed uplinks between switches and routers
• Data center server and storage connectivity
• Aggregation links in campus or enterprise networks
• Optical links in carrier or metro network segments

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10,000 Mbit/s (10 Gbit/s)
• Connector type: LC duplex
• Form factor: SFP+
• Transmission medium: Optical fiber (duplex)
• Hot-pluggable design for in-service replacement

How to use

Power down is not required for insertion or removal when the host device supports hot-plug SFP+ modules; insert the module into an available SFP+ slot until it clicks into place and secure the fiber patch cables to the LC duplex ports. After installation, verify link status and speed through the host device management interface. Use compatible single-mode or multimode fiber and appropriate patch cords as specified by your system to ensure optimal signal performance. If the device requires firmware or configuration changes for third-party transceivers, follow the equipment manufacturer's guidance.

Recommendations

Handle the optical ports with care: keep dust caps on when not connected, avoid touching the fiber ferrule, and clean connectors with approved fiber cleaning tools before mating. Confirm compatibility with the host device and select appropriate fiber type and length to meet link budget and distance requirements.
