Καλώδιο DAC SFP+ CBO MCP2100-X004B 10Gbps, Direct-Attach, 5 m

Direct-attach copper (DAC) SFP+ cable BlueOptics CBO MCP2100-X004B provides a 10Gbps connection over a fixed 5 m twinax assembly. The cable is designed for short-range, high-speed links between SFP+ ports on network switches, server NICs or storage devices. As a passive DAC it eliminates the need for separate optical transceivers and delivers plug-and-play connectivity suited for dense rack environments and top-of-rack deployments.

Advantages

The direct-attach design ensures low latency and consistent 10Gbps throughput while keeping power consumption lower than active optical alternatives. A fixed twinax assembly reduces signal loss over short distances and simplifies cabling between adjacent rack units. The integrated SFP+ connectors are hot-pluggable, requiring no additional configuration or transceiver modules, which streamlines installation and maintenance in data centers.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack switch to server connections
• Server-to-server direct interconnects within the same rack
• Storage area network links and SAN uplinks
• High-density switch fabrics in data center racks

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ (dual SFP+ connectors, fixed cable)
• Nominal data rate: 10 Gbps full duplex
• Cable type: Twinax copper assembly
• Length: 5 meters
• Transmission range: Short-reach, optimized for within-rack connections
• Power: Passive (no external power required)
• Connector features: Hot-pluggable SFP+ housings

How to use

Install the DAC cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices to be linked. Ensure both devices support SFP+ copper direct-attach cables and that ports are configured for 10Gbps operation if manual configuration is required. Because the cable is passive and fixed-length, no additional modules or optical transceivers are necessary; after insertion, the link should be established automatically and visible in device port status indicators.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use this 5 m DAC cable for connections within the same rack or between adjacent racks in the same row. Avoid kinking the twinax assembly and maintain bend radius recommendations from the device supplier. Verify compatibility with the switch or host vendor when deploying in mixed-brand environments and keep spare cables of the same type available for quick replacements in high-density installations.
