Καλώδιο DAC CBO CPAC-DAC-40G-2M — 40 Gbit/s, 2 m

The BlueOptics DAC cable CBO CPAC-DAC-40G-2M is a 2‑meter direct attach copper (DAC) assembly engineered for 40 Gbps short‑reach connections. It provides a fixed-length, low-latency link suitable for interconnects between switches, servers and other network devices. The cable supports plug-and-play installation and is intended for use in data centre top-of-rack and rack-to-rack environments where a reliable, cost‑effective 40 Gbps connection is required.

Advantages

This DAC cable delivers a high-bandwidth 40 Gbps data path with minimal signal loss and low latency thanks to its direct copper construction. Its fixed 2 m length eliminates the need for transceivers, reducing both initial hardware costs and ongoing power consumption. The product is designed for simple installation and tight port density, making it practical for dense rack deployments and short interconnect runs inside racks and between adjacent racks.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack (ToR) switch to server connections
• Rack-to-rack interconnects within the same row
• High-performance computing and virtualization clusters requiring 40 Gbps links
• Short-reach links in enterprise and colocation data centres

Key specifications

• Data rate: 40 Gbps
• Cable type: Direct attach copper (DAC)
• Length: 2 m (fixed)
• Connector type: industry-standard 40G DAC compatible plugs
• Typical use: short-reach interconnects within racks and between adjacent racks
• Latency: low (copper direct attach characteristic)

How to use

Insert each connector end into the appropriate 40 Gbps ports on the devices to be connected, ensuring secure seating and latch engagement. No additional transceivers, configuration or special drivers are required for standard switch and server ports that support direct attach copper links. Verify link status through your device management interface and monitor for optimal operation. If ports support hot‑swap, the cable can be connected or disconnected while equipment is powered, following the host device guidelines.

Recommendations

For reliable performance maintain bend radius recommendations typical for DAC assemblies and avoid sharp bends or kinks. Use this cable for short-reach connections up to 2 m; for longer runs consider active copper or optical solutions. Check device compatibility for 40 Gbps DAC links and ensure firmware or driver support where applicable.
