καλώδιο DAC CBO CABQ-S-3M 3 m παθητικό καλώδιο άμεσης σύνδεσης χαλκού

BlueOptics DAC cable CBO CABQ-S-3M is a 3 m passive copper direct-attach twinax cable engineered for short-range, high-speed interconnects in data centres and enterprise networks. The cable connects compatible switches, servers and storage devices directly without transceivers, offering a simple low-latency link suitable for top-of-rack, middle-of-row or rack-to-rack deployments. The 3 metre length provides flexibility for common rack layouts while maintaining signal integrity and predictable performance for short-reach connections.

Advantages

The passive twinax construction ensures low power consumption and minimal latency compared with optical links that require active transceivers. As a direct-attach solution, this cable reduces total hardware cost and simplifies installation by eliminating separate modules. Its fixed length and factory-terminated contacts provide consistent channel characteristics and ease of replacement or inventory management in dense server and switch environments.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack switch to server links
• Switch-to-switch connections within the same rack or adjacent racks
• Short-distance storage and SAN interconnects
• High-density patching in datacentre rows

Key specifications

• Type: Passive twinax direct-attach copper cable
• Length: 3 metres
• Connector style: Direct-attach factory-terminated contacts (compatible with matching SFP+/QSFP+ ports as supported by connected devices)
• Signal medium: Copper twinax conductors
• Typical use range: Short-reach interconnects within racks or between adjacent racks
• Latency: Low, passive connection without on-cable electronics

How to use

Select ports on the two compatible network devices that support passive direct-attach copper connections. With devices powered down or following hot-plug guidelines from the hardware vendor, remove protective caps from the cable ends and insert each terminated connector into the corresponding port until it latches. Verify link LEDs or device management interfaces to confirm the connection. For removal, depress the connector latch and withdraw the cable straight out to avoid damaging ports.

Recommendations

Use this 3 m passive DAC for short, fixed-length connections inside racks or between neighbouring racks where low latency and cost-efficiency are priorities. Avoid routing the cable near high-power cabling or tight bends; maintain bend radii recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Confirm port compatibility and supported speeds on both devices before deployment to ensure reliable operation.
