Καλώδιο AOC CBO SFP28-AOC-7M μήκος 7 m

AOC cable CBO SFP28-AOC-7M is a 7-meter active optical cable engineered for direct SFP28 port connections. It supports 25GbE links and is intended for short- to medium-range interconnects in data centers, server racks and storage systems. The integrated optical transceivers inside the cable eliminate the need for separate SFP28 modules, delivering a compact, plug-and-play connection that simplifies cabling between switches, servers and storage appliances.

Advantages

The cable offers native 25GbE performance with reduced latency compared with copper twinax alternatives and lower power consumption compared with discrete optical transceivers plus patch cords. Its 7 m length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack or intra-rack connections while keeping a clean cabling footprint. Being an active optical cable, it ensures signal integrity over the specified distance and removes the need to install separate modules, reducing component count and simplifying inventory.

Suitable for

• 25GbE uplinks between network switches in data center environments
• Server-to-switch and storage-to-switch interconnects within racks
• High-density top-of-rack deployments requiring low-latency links
• Short- to medium-length optical links where transceiver-free cabling is preferred

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated SFP28 connectors
• Supported data rate: 25 Gbps per lane (25GbE)
• Length: 7 meters
• Connector interface: SFP28 form factor, hot-pluggable on compatible ports
• Typical use: Short- to medium-range data center interconnects
• Power and latency: Lower power consumption and reduced latency compared to discrete transceiver plus copper twinax solutions

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the network devices until the connector latches. The cable is plug-and-play and does not require separate optical modules; the device should recognize the AOC if the port supports SFP28 AOC assemblies. Route the cable to avoid tight bends; follow the minimum bend radius recommended by the equipment vendor. For best results, ensure both ends are connected to compatible 25GbE SFP28 ports and confirm link status in the device management interface after insertion.

Recommendations

Use this 7 m AOC for direct interconnects where a balance of flexibility and signal integrity is needed. Avoid exposing the cable to excessive tension, abrasion or temperatures outside standard data center operating ranges. Check switch and server compatibility for SFP28 AOC support before deployment and verify firmware or port settings if the link does not come up immediately.
