InfiniBand Active Optical Καλώδιο CBO QSFP-AOC-5M-CO-BO — QSFP σε QSFP, 5 m

CBO InfiniBand Active Optical Cable QSFP-AOC-5M-CO-BO — QSFP to QSFP, 5 m is a 5-metre QSFP-to-QSFP active optical cable designed for high-speed InfiniBand connections. The cable provides low-latency optical links between compatible QSFP ports in servers, switches and storage systems. Its 5 m reach is intended for short- to mid-range data center interconnects, cluster computing and high-performance networking installations that require deterministic latency and optical isolation between devices.

Advantages

The active optical construction reduces electromagnetic interference and eliminates signal degradation over copper at higher data rates, while maintaining low latency suitable for InfiniBand fabrics. A QSFP-to-QSFP form factor simplifies direct connections between equipment with matching ports without additional transceivers or patch panels. The 5 m length balances flexibility and signal integrity for rack-to-rack or in-rack connectivity.

Suitable for

• Data center interconnects between adjacent racks
• High-performance computing clusters and node-to-switch links
• Low-latency storage area network connections
• Network equipment upgrades where QSFP ports are available

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP to QSFP
• Length: 5 metres
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Intended application: InfiniBand high-speed links
• Performance characteristics: low latency, optical signal transmission
• Typical environments: data centers, server rooms, HPC clusters

How to use

Connect each QSFP connector to the QSFP port on the devices you wish to link, ensuring the connectors are fully inserted and latched according to the equipment manufacturer’s instructions. The cable is plug-and-play in most systems; check that the host devices support active optical QSFP links and the required InfiniBand speed and protocol settings. Avoid sharp bends and maintain recommended bend radius to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, route the cable away from high-power cables and strong EMI sources, secure the cable to avoid strain on connectors, and verify firmware and driver compatibility on connected devices. Use the 5 m length for rack-to-rack or in-rack connections where direct QSFP-to-QSFP optical links are preferred.
