BlueOptics H-SFP+AOC5M-BO InfiniBand οπτική ίνα καλώδιο 5 m aqua

The BlueOptics H-SFP+AOC5M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 5 m Aqua is a 5‑metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors designed for short-reach high‑speed links. Built for multi‑mode operation, the cable integrates a transmitter and receiver at each end and follows SFP+ MSA connector standards to provide a compact, low-latency connection for switches, routers and storage interfaces that accept SFP+ modules. The aqua jacket provides easy visual identification in structured cabling environments.

Advantages

This AOC supports 10 Gbit/s class data rates over a 5 m multi‑mode link while eliminating separate transceiver modules and duplex patch cables. The integrated optical transceivers reduce power consumption and improve signal integrity compared with some copper alternatives. Compliance with SFP+ mechanical and electrical form‑factor conventions ensures plug‑and‑play compatibility with equipment that supports SFP+ AOC modules.

How to use

Ensure both endpoints support SFP+ AOC modules and are powered down or hot‑swap capable according to the host equipment manual. Insert the SFP+ plug into the SFP+ port until the latch engages, repeat on the opposite end and verify link status in the device management interface. Avoid sharp bends in the cable and secure excess length to prevent strain on the connectors. For initial deployment, check firmware or hardware compatibility lists of the host devices.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m SFP+ AOC for short‑reach 10G links inside racks or across adjacent racks. Maintain minimum bend radius and avoid exposure to excessive heat; store and route the cable according to data center best practices to ensure stable performance.
