Ενεργό Οπτικό Καλώδιο InfiniBand CBO QSFP-AOC-5M-SP-BO 5 m

Active Optical InfiniBand Cable CBO QSFP-AOC-5M-SP-BO 5 m is a QSFP-to-QSFP active optical cable designed for high-speed InfiniBand interconnects. The 5 meter optical link provides low-latency signal transmission suitable for data center links, server-to-switch connections and high-performance computing environments. The BlueOptics design emphasizes compact form factor and stable optical performance over the specified 5 m span.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers optical transmission that reduces electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives and supports long-reach connectivity within racks and across short data hall aisles. The QSFP connector interface enables plug-and-play installation in compatible InfiniBand QSFP ports and offers consistent signal integrity and low latency for storage, compute and networking traffic. The 5 m length provides flexibility in equipment placement without compromising optical performance.

Suitable for

• Data center switch-to-switch and switch-to-server links
• High-performance computing clusters and interconnect fabric
• Storage area network (SAN) backbones and aggregation links
• Rack-to-rack connections within short spans up to 5 m

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP (QSFP-to-QSFP)
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC)
• Supported interconnect: InfiniBand
• Length: 5 metres
• Transmission medium: optical fiber
• Intended use: short-range, high-speed data links with low latency

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each QSFP connector into the corresponding QSFP port on compatible InfiniBand devices, ensuring secure latching. No external power or transceiver modules are required beyond the host ports; the cable contains active optical components internally. Verify link negotiation and device settings after connection and monitor port status indicators to confirm a stable optical link. If swapping equipment, power down following manufacturer procedures where recommended and handle the cable by the connector housings to avoid stress on the fiber.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain, maintain bend radii recommended for optical cables, and protect connector endfaces from dust and contamination. Use this 5 m QSFP AOC for short, high-throughput InfiniBand links in controlled data center environments and pair with compatible QSFP InfiniBand ports to ensure supported link speeds and proper negotiation.
