BlueOptics CAB-SMF-ST-LC-2-BO Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών InfiniBand 2 m G.657.A1

The BlueOptics CAB-SMF-ST-LC-2-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 2 m G.657.A1 is a single-mode patch cable designed for reliable, high-speed data transmission in networking environments. With a 2-metre length and a combination of ST and LC connectors, this cable supports InfiniBand connections where low loss and stable signal integrity are required. The use of G.657.A1 fibre ensures improved bending performance compared to standard single-mode fibres, making the cable suitable for installations with limited space or where routing requires tight bends.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers single-mode transmission with low attenuation and consistent performance over short to medium link distances. The mixed ST–LC connector configuration provides flexibility for connecting different types of optical equipment without adapters. G.657.A1 fibre improves bend tolerance, reducing the risk of signal degradation in confined or complex cable runs. The 2 m length balances reach and neat cable management in racks, server rooms, and distributed network setups.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand network links in data centres and high-performance computing environments
• Interconnection between switches, transceivers and patch panels using ST and LC ports
• Rack and cabinet fibre routing where space constraints require tight bends
• Short to medium optical runs in enterprise and telecommunication installations

Key specifications

• Fibre type: single-mode G.657.A1 with improved bending performance
• Length: 2 metres
• Connector A: ST (straight tip) optical connector
• Connector B: LC (lucent connector) optical connector
• Application: InfiniBand and high-speed optical interconnects
• Cable function: patch/patchcord for optical connections

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces before installation and ensure mating ports are clean and free of dust. Align the ST connector with the mating bayonet socket and insert until it locks; align the LC connector with the duplex/single-port receptacle and push in until it latches. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and protect it with cable management accessories where appropriate. When removing, disengage the connectors gently to avoid stress on fibre termini. Follow standard optical safety and handling procedures during installation and maintenance.

Recommendations

Use this 2 m single-mode ST–LC cable for short interconnect runs where InfiniBand performance and bend tolerance are needed. Maintain clean connectors and avoid bending radii below manufacturer-recommended limits to preserve optical performance and service life.
