The B+W Type 1000 Hard Case Black Universal Compatibility is a compact, rigid protective case designed to safeguard camera accessories and small photographic equipment. Constructed from durable polycarbonate with a black finish, the case balances lightweight handling with impact resistance and basic protection against dust and moisture. With universal compatibility and a practical internal layout, it is intended to keep delicate items secure during transport and storage.

Advantages

The polycarbonate shell offers high stiffness and good resistance to drops and knocks while remaining relatively light at approximately 0.7 kg. The neutral black colour provides a discreet appearance and minimizes visible wear. Universal compatibility ensures the case can accommodate a variety of small cameras, lenses, filters, memory cards and accessories. The compact footprint makes it suitable for packing into larger camera bags or luggage without adding significant bulk.

Suitable for

• Storing small camera bodies and compact system cameras
• Protecting lenses, filters and memory cards during travel
• Organizing photography accessories and spare batteries
• Transporting delicate equipment in hand luggage or backpacks

Key specifications

• Material: polycarbonate
• Product colour: black
• Weight: approx. 0.7 kg
• Compatibility: universal for small photographic gear and accessories
• Construction: rigid hard-shell case for impact protection

How to use

Place the items to be protected into the case ensuring they do not press directly against the shell; use internal padding or dividers where available to separate lenses and electronics. Close the lid securely and latch the case to ensure the seal is maintained during transport. When packing the case into larger bags, position it so that heavier items do not rest on top of it to avoid concentrated pressure on the shell.

Recommendations

For prolonged protection, avoid exposing the case to prolonged sunlight and extreme temperatures. Clean the exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent if required, and inspect internal padding periodically for wear. For sensitive gear, combine the hard case with additional foam inserts or padded sleeves to reduce internal movement.
