The InLine USB 3.0 to USB 3.1 Front Panel Key-B Adapter (model 33446F) enables connection of internal USB 3.2 Gen 2 devices to a motherboard USB 3.0 header. It provides a female USB Type-A host interface and a male USB 3.2 Gen 2 (USB 3.1 Gen 2) output interface for installation in a PC case and supports high-speed data transfer while maintaining compatibility with a range of USB devices. The product comes in a multicolour finish and is intended for internal use.

Advantages

This adapter converts an internal USB 3.0 header to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 output, allowing newer high-speed devices to be connected through an internal front-panel location. It preserves the USB Type-A host interface for standard device compatibility and offers straightforward installation in a PC chassis. The cable-based design simplifies routing inside the case and the product’s multicolour housing helps identify the connector during installation.

Suitable for

• Connecting internal USB 3.2 Gen 2 devices to a motherboard USB 3.0 header
• Front-panel/internal installations in desktop PC cases
• Upgrading older systems to support USB 3.1/3.2 Gen 2 peripherals

How to use

Route the adapter cable inside the PC case and connect the female USB Type-A host interface to the device or cable that requires a Type-A connection. Plug the male USB 3.2 Gen 2 output connector into the motherboard’s internal USB 3.0 header according to the header pinout. Secure the adapter and any cables to avoid strain on the connectors and ensure proper seating before powering on the system.

Recommendations

Use this adapter inside a desktop PC case only and verify motherboard header pinout compatibility before installation. For best performance, connect USB 3.2 Gen 2 devices directly and avoid excessive cable bends or sharp kinks.
