Adapter for mounting Leica M lenses on Sony NEX and NEX/LEM camera bodies. The Novoflex 07N-EXL.EM is a black plastic lens adapter that provides a mechanical connection between Leica M-mount optics and Sony's NEX mirrorless system, enabling use of a wider range of compatible lenses.

Advantages

The Novoflex 07N-EXL.EM offers a sturdy and lightweight adapter solution that preserves the correct flange focal distance for Leica M lenses on Sony NEX cameras. Its precise fitting reduces play between lens and camera, and the durable plastic construction keeps overall weight low while ensuring reliable alignment for manual focusing and aperture control.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Attaching Leica M-mount rangefinder lenses to Sony NEX / E-mount mirrorless cameras
• Manual photography where lens infinity focus and accurate focus calibration are required
• Photographers wanting to use legacy or specialty Leica glass on modern Sony bodies

How to use

Mount the adapter onto the Leica M lens by aligning the lens' mounting marks and turning until it locks. Then align the adapter with the Sony NEX camera mount and rotate until it engages. Confirm secure attachment before operating the camera. Focus and aperture control remain manual; use the camera's focus assist features (focus peaking, magnification) if available to achieve accurate focus.

Recommendations

For best results, check lens and adapter contacts for dust before mounting and avoid forcing the mount. Because this is a mechanical adapter without electronic contacts, set EXIF and aperture metadata manually where needed and use live view aids on Sony cameras for precise focusing.
