The ShiverPeaks 75006-M Modular Patch Connector Cat 6 RJ45 is a metallized, shielded network adapter designed for Cat 6 structured cabling. It supports Gigabit Ethernet and is intended for use in patch panels, keystone jacks, or inline extensions where a compact, reliable RJ45 connection is required. The adapter provides a stable physical interface between two Cat 6 terminated cables or between a cable and a panel, maintaining signal integrity in office and data-center environments.

Advantages

The modular patch connector offers a shielded design that reduces electromagnetic interference and improves performance in environments with multiple network runs or electrical noise. Its robust metallized housing increases mechanical durability and supports secure mating with standard RJ45 plugs. The product is compatible with Cat 6 cabling, enabling Gigabit data rates and preserving the cabling category performance across joints.

Suitable for

• Extending Cat 6 cables in office and data-center installations
• Interconnecting patch panels and keystone jacks
• Temporary or permanent inline cable repairs and joins
• Shielded network segments requiring improved EMI protection

Key specifications

• Cable category compatibility: Cat 6
• Connector type: RJ45 modular coupler
• Shielding: Metallized/shielded housing for EMI reduction
• Supported data rate: Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T)
• Form factor: Inline modular adapter for patch panels or keystone mounts

How to use

Prepare both Cat 6 cable ends with correct RJ45 terminations and verify wiring order. Insert the RJ45 plug of one terminated cable into one side of the modular patch connector and the plug of the second cable into the opposite side until both plugs seat securely. For keystone or panel mounting, align the adapter with the mounting aperture and secure according to the panel or keystone jack system in use. After installation, test continuity and network performance with appropriate cable testers or network diagnostic tools to confirm signal integrity.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in environments where shielding is required to mitigate interference; ensure consistent Cat 6 terminations on both cable ends to maintain Gigabit performance. Avoid excessive bending or mechanical stress at the connector interface and perform post-installation testing to verify link speed and wiring correctness.
