Alcatel PW3N-OVBYOD50N Dualband 802.11ac Wave 2 Access Point, PoE+

In a busy open-plan office or a school corridor, dozens of laptops, tablets and phones compete for bandwidth. The Alcatel PW3N-OVBYOD50N access point keeps every device connected with dual-band 802.11ac Wave 2 technology and 3x3 MIMO, delivering up to 1.75 Gbps aggregate throughput. Its integrated omni-directional antennas provide consistent coverage, while PoE+ support simplifies installation by carrying power and data over a single Ethernet cable.

Why choose it

This access point is built for high-density environments where reliable Wi-Fi is non-negotiable. Wave 2 MU-MIMO technology allows simultaneous transmissions to multiple clients, reducing wait times and improving overall network efficiency. With support for WPA3 and 802.1X, your network stays secure against modern threats. Flexible management options let you choose cloud-based simplicity or on-premise control, and the integrated BLE radio opens the door to advanced location-based services.

Ideal use cases

• Enterprise offices with dense device populations
• Educational institutions supporting BYOD initiatives
• Retail stores needing guest Wi-Fi and analytics
• Hospitality venues offering high-speed internet to guests
• Warehouses and manufacturing floors with IoT sensor integration

Good to know

Installation is straightforward with the included ceiling/wall mount kit. PoE+ support means you can deploy the access point where power outlets are scarce, using a standard PoE switch or injector. The USB port allows connection of IoT modules for additional functionality such as Zigbee or Z-Wave bridging. For large-scale deployments, the Stellar Controller or OmniVista Cirrus provides centralized configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting.
