ACT LC 9/125 OS2 pigtail ίνας 2m σετ με 12 τεμ.

The ACT LC 9/125 OS2 Fiber Pigtail 2m Set of 12 Pieces is a pack of single-mode fiber pigtails with LC connectors and 2 meter jacketed length. Each pigtail is built for 9/125 µm single-mode fiber (OS2), providing low attenuation and stable optical performance for fiber backbone and patching applications. The set of 12 allows deployment across multiple ports or spare connectors in patch panels, splice enclosures or equipment racks.

Advantages

These LC 9/125 OS2 fiber pigtails combine a small-form-factor LC connector with single-mode 9 µm core fiber to deliver compact, low-loss connections. The 2 m length balances manageable routing with flexibility for splicing or patching. Supplied as a set of 12, the product simplifies installation planning and reduces the need for repeated ordering. The design supports consistent end-face geometry and stable mechanical performance for reliable optical links.

Suitable for

• Fiber optic patch panels and rack-mounted splice enclosures
• Data center single-mode backbone connections
• Telecommunication point-to-point links and distribution frames
• FTTx drop or indoor cabling where LC connectors are required

Key specifications

• Fiber type: single-mode OS2 (9/125 µm core/cladding)
• Connector type: LC on one end (factory-terminated)
• Length: 2 meters per pigtail
• Pack quantity: 12 pieces
• Typical insertion loss: low loss design suitable for single-mode networks (factory polished end-face)
• Jacket: indoor-rated buffered fiber jacket for routing and protection

How to use

Route each 2 m pigtail from the equipment or patch panel to the splice point or adapter panel, ensuring gentle bends and avoiding sharp kinks. If splicing to a backbone fiber, strip the buffer and perform a fusion splice following standard fiber preparation and cleanliness procedures. If using the LC connector directly with adapters, align and insert into compatible LC adapters or transceivers until the connector latches. Verify optical performance with an appropriate power meter or OTDR after installation.

Recommendations

Handle end faces with care and keep protective dust caps on connectors until final mating. Maintain minimum bend radius for 9/125 fiber, follow standard fiber cleaning procedures before connecting, and store unused pigtails coiled with gentle loops to avoid microbends. Use fusion splicing for permanent connections and high-performance links; mechanical splices or adapters are appropriate for temporary or flexible configurations.
