ACT Fiber Panel 24 x Duplex LC Multimode OM3

The ACT Fiber panel 24 x duplex LC multimode OM3 is a rack-mountable front panel designed to provide organized fiber terminations and easy patching for multimode networks. It houses 24 duplex LC OM3 ports in a compact black enclosure, allowing technicians to connect and manage multiple fiber pairs with minimized signal loss. The panel supports high-speed short-reach links typical in data centers, enterprise networks, and campus environments and is compatible with standard LC patch cords and transceivers for multimode OM3 infrastructure.

Advantages

This panel delivers dense port density with 24 duplex LC multimode OM3 connectors in a space-saving design. The black finish offers a professional appearance and resistance to surface wear, while the modular front provides straightforward access for installation and maintenance. Using OM3 multimode connectors enables support for high-bandwidth applications over short to medium distances, and the standardized LC interface simplifies compatibility with existing multimode fiber systems.

How to use

Mount the fiber panel into a compatible 19" equipment rack or cabinet using the provided mounting points. Route existing multimode fiber trunks to the rear of the panel and terminate or connect pigtails as required before attaching LC duplex patch cords to the front ports. Label each port to reflect the corresponding link or device to simplify future changes. Ensure fiber connectors are clean and inspect connections with appropriate cleaning tools before making patches to maintain signal quality.

Recommendations

For best performance, use certified OM3 multimode patch cords and verify connector cleanliness prior to installation. Keep bend radii within manufacturer-recommended limits for multimode fiber, and document port mapping to streamline maintenance and troubleshooting.
