Fibre optic cable Goobay 95943 1 m LC Violet is a 1 m OM4 multimode fibre patch cable with LC duplex and SC duplex connectors and violet jacket. The cable is laser-optimized (OM4), supports full-duplex transmission and is intended for network links in offices, industry and data centres. The sheath is halogen-free and flame-retardant; each cable is supplied with a test protocol.

Advantages

The OM4 multimode fibre provides improved bandwidth and extended reach for high-speed links compared with lower OM classes. The assembly includes LC-duplex and SC-duplex connectors with protective dust covers for reliable connections. A halogen-free, flame-retardant outer sheath increases safety in indoor installations. Supplied test protocol documents the optical performance.

Suitable for

• High-speed data links in data centres and server rooms
• Office and industrial network backbones
• Multimode fibre interconnects between network equipment with LC or SC ports

How to use

Route the fibre cable between equipment with LC or SC ports, remove the protective dust covers before insertion and avoid bending the cable beyond its minimum bend radius. Ensure connectors are clean before mating and follow standard fibre-handling precautions to prevent contamination or damage. Verify connection performance using the supplied test protocol or suitable optical test equipment.

Recommendations

Use this OM4 fibre patch cable for intra-rack and inter-rack multimode connections where higher bandwidth or extended reach is required. Store and handle the cable in a dry environment, protect connector endfaces with dust caps when not in use, and perform regular cleaning and inspection to maintain optical performance.
