The DeLOCK 60281 cable gland is a single-piece metallic brass gland designed to provide a watertight seal and strain relief where cables or electrical conduits pass through an enclosure. Made from durable metallic brass, it protects cable entries against ingress and secures the cable to reduce mechanical stress on connections.

Advantages

The metallic brass construction offers corrosion resistance and mechanical durability. The design ensures a reliable watertight seal and effective strain relief for a variety of cable types. Supplied as one piece, the gland is compact and suitable for straightforward installation in electrical housings and panels.

Suitable for

• Sealing cable entries in electrical enclosures and junction boxes
• Protecting cables from mechanical strain and movement
• Applications requiring a durable, metallic cable gland with corrosion resistance

How to use

Drill or prepare an appropriate diameter hole in the enclosure, insert the cable gland through the panel, and secure it according to the enclosure’s thread or locking method. Feed the cable through the gland and tighten as required to compress the seal and provide strain relief. Ensure the gland is tightened sufficiently to form a watertight seal without over-torquing, which could damage the threads or the seal.

Recommendations

Verify the hole size and thread compatibility with the DeLOCK 60281 gland before installation, and choose a gland suitable for the cable diameter and environmental conditions to ensure proper sealing and longevity.
