How to use

Attach a compatible RF or RF‑mount lens, insert a charged Lithium‑Ion battery and a memory card, then power on the camera. Use the guided menus and Creative Assist to select shooting modes and adjust exposure, focus and white balance. For stills, compose using the viewfinder or the 3" LCD and press the shutter to capture images; for video, choose 4K mode and start/stop recording with the video button. Use Continuous AF and burst mode to photograph moving subjects. To transfer files, enable Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi and connect the camera to the Canon Camera Connect app or set up automatic image transfer.

Recommendations

For best image quality, use lenses with wide apertures to take advantage of the APS-C sensor’s depth of field control. When shooting in low light, raise ISO gradually and use image stabilization or a tripod to avoid blur. Enable automatic image transfer or connect to the Camera Connect app to back up and share photos promptly.

“The Canon EOS R100 looks like a pretty dated camera in every sense, and it'll feel alien if you've only used a smartphone camera before. However, don't judge a book by its cover – it actually makes perfect sense for people looking for a cheap camera…”

Συμπέρασμα: With the EOS R100, Canon has clearly sought to create the simplest and cheapest mirrorless camera possible. Its price tag may look high compared to sub-£400 DSLRs like the firm's EOS 2000D, but it's more affordable than its mirrorless rivals such as the F...

“Smartphones are undoubtedly the world's most-used cameras, but some would argue that they're not real cameras at all. By reducing the act of photo and video capture to mere point and shoot, they take much of the thought and process out of it.”

Πλεονεκτήματα

Lightweight and compact build
Good human face-tracking autofocus
Can shoot 4K video (at 24/25fps)

Μειονεκτήματα

No in-camera USB charging
Fixed screen with no touch function
Rolling shutter during video capture
