Σειριακό καλώδιο ShiverPeaks BS78021-5 DB-25 γκρι 5 m

The ShiverPeaks BS78021-5 DB-25 serial cable is a 5 m grey cable designed for reliable point-to-point data transmission between devices that use a DB-25 connector. It provides a straightforward physical connection for serial communication, suitable for legacy equipment, industrial controllers, and other hardware requiring a 25-pin D-sub interface. The cable construction focuses on stable signal transfer and compatibility with standard serial ports.

Advantages

This 5 m serial cable offers a practical length for rack-to-rack or desk-to-equipment connections while avoiding excessive slack. The DB-25 connector provides secure mating with 25-pin D-sub ports and helps maintain signal integrity. The grey jacket gives a neutral appearance for use in mixed cabling environments and facilitates visual organization. The cable is built to industry-standard pin configuration for straightforward integration with devices that expect a DB-25 serial interface.

Suitable for

• Connecting legacy computers, terminals or printers with DB-25 serial ports
• Linking industrial controllers, PLCs or instrumentation that use 25-pin D-sub interfaces
• Establishing point-to-point serial communication for configuration or data logging
• Temporary or fixed cabling in server rooms, workshops, or laboratory setups

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 m
• Connector type: DB-25 (25-pin D-sub)
• Color: Grey
• Use: Serial data transmission (RS-232 / D-sub compatible wiring)
• Construction: Shielded multi-conductor cable (standard for serial connectivity)

How to use

Connect the DB-25 connector to the matching 25-pin D-sub serial port on each device, ensuring the connector is fully seated and screws or fastening hardware are tightened to prevent accidental disconnection. Confirm the serial port settings (baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits, and flow control) in both devices before initiating communication. For long runs or electrically noisy environments, verify shielding continuity and avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines to reduce interference.

Recommendations

When installing, route the cable to minimize sharp bends and strain on the connectors; secure with cable ties or clips at intervals. If using for critical or permanent installations, test the connection after setup and periodically check for wear, connector corrosion, or damage to the jacket that could affect signal quality.
