Σχοινί αναρρίχησης Mammut 9.8 Crag Classic 80m

Sport climbers and gym rats need a rope that can take repeated falls, run smoothly through quickdraws, and still feel light on the harness. The Mammut 9.8 Crag Classic 80m delivers exactly that: a workhorse single rope with a balanced 9.8 mm diameter, a durable sheath, and enough length for long pitches or gym laps. It's built for cragging, redpoint burns, and indoor training—no dry treatment, just honest performance.

Who is it for

This rope is for sport climbers who climb frequently at the crag or in the gym and want a reliable, long-lasting cord without paying for features they don't need. It's ideal for projecting routes, working moves, and taking falls. The 80 m length suits taller walls, rope-stretching gyms, or anyone who wants extra margin for rope wear and trimming.

Main features

• Single rope certified to EN 892 and UIAA, with a diameter of 9.8 mm—thick enough for durability, thin enough for smooth clipping.
• 80 meter length covers long sport pitches and gym routes; middle mark included for easy rope management.
• High sheath proportion (40%) and zero sheath slippage (0 mm) mean the sheath stays put and resists abrasion over many falls.
• Impact force of 8.4 kN and 8-9 UIAA falls provide a good balance of soft catches and longevity.
• Standard construction (no dry treatment) keeps the rope supple and affordable for fair-weather cragging and indoor use.

Tips

To extend the life of your rope, always use a rope bag to keep it clean and avoid stepping on it. Rotate the ends regularly to distribute wear evenly. For indoor gym use, consider a separate rope if you climb frequently, as gym ropes tend to wear faster due to high fall frequency.
