Mechanical Timer Legrand Maxi Rex D72/1 49680 16A 230V is a compact electromechanical time switch designed for simple and reliable on/off control of electrical circuits. The device provides a 24-hour dial with adjustable trippers for setting switching intervals and a manual override to turn loads on or off independent of the programmed schedule. Built to fit standard DIN-rail or panel installations, it is suitable for timed control of lighting, heating circuits, ventilation and other appliances within its rated current and voltage.

Advantages

The mechanical timer offers straightforward programming via a 24-hour rotating dial and removable trippers, enabling flexible daily schedules without software. A clearly marked dial and a physical manual override make it easy to operate and service. Its rated switching capacity supports common residential and light commercial loads, while the robust mechanical construction provides stable operation in typical indoor electrical environments.

How to use

Install the timer in accordance with local electrical regulations, ensuring power is isolated before wiring. Mount the device on the panel or DIN-rail and connect the supply and load per the wiring diagram. Set the current time on the 24-hour dial, then place or remove the trippers around the dial to define on/off intervals. Use the manual override to temporarily force the output on or off without changing the programmed trippers. After programming, restore power and verify switching operation at the set times.

Recommendations

Use the timer within its rated 16 A, 230 V limits and avoid switching loads that exceed its capacity. For inductive loads such as motors or compressors, verify compatibility and consider protective devices or contactors if required. Periodically check mechanical trippers and the dial for wear or displacement and perform wiring inspections during routine maintenance.
