Managed Switch HUAWEI S220S-8P4J L2 Gigabit Ethernet 8 θύρες PoE 1U

The HUAWEI eKitEngine S220S-8P4J is a managed Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet switch with eight RJ-45 ports supporting PoE. Designed for small and medium enterprises, this 1U switch offers flexible uplink and downlink interfaces, basic Layer 2 features, and multiple management options (web, app and SNC), making it suitable for office networks, hotels, schools and building security deployments.

Advantages

The S220S-8P4J delivers multi-rate Ethernet access and uplink flexibility, support for traditional and fast spanning tree protocols plus ITU-T G.8032 ERPS for millisecond-level ring protection, and comprehensive security controls such as DHCP snooping and DoS defense. It supports Perpetual PoE to maintain power to powered devices during switch restarts, and smart upgrade via Huawei Online Upgrade Repository to simplify firmware updates. Cloud and on-premise management options reduce on-site O&M effort.

Suitable for

• Small and medium enterprise offices
• Economy hotels and hospitality networks
• Factories and light industrial sites
• Primary and secondary schools
• Building access control and security camera networks

How to use

Install the S220S-8P4J in a standard 1U rack or on a shelf, connect uplink and access cables to the appropriate GE ports, and connect PoE-powered devices to the PoE-enabled RJ-45 ports. Use the web interface, HUAWEI eKit App or SNC to perform initial configuration, enable required security features such as DHCP snooping and DoS protection, and configure STP/ERPS if ring protection is needed. Use the smart upgrade feature to retrieve firmware from the Huawei Online Upgrade Repository and apply updates with minimal downtime.

Recommendations

For reliable PoE deployment, verify total PoE budget against connected PDs and enable Perpetual PoE if uninterrupted power is required during maintenance. Use ERPS in ring topologies to achieve fast protection switching and reduce network recovery time.
