Why choose it

This jacket is engineered for high-output alpine activities where weight, packability, and protection are critical. The GORE-TEX Active membrane offers exceptional breathability to prevent overheating during intense ascents, while the 28,000 mm waterproof rating keeps you dry in driving rain and snow. The athletic fit reduces bulk and enhances mobility, and the helmet-compatible hood provides full coverage without restricting vision. Plus, the PFC-free DWR treatment and bluesign® certification mean you're choosing a more sustainable option.

Ideal use cases

• Mountaineering and alpine climbing in variable weather
• Ski touring and backcountry skiing
• Lightweight backpacking and fastpacking
• Everyday wear in wet, windy conditions

Good to know

The Eiger Nordwand Light HS Hooded Jacket packs down small enough to stash in a harness bag or pack, making it an essential emergency shell. Pair it with a midlayer for colder days or wear it over a base layer for high-output activities. Machine washable with technical detergent; reapply DWR as needed to maintain performance.
