Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών EFB Elektronik O0371.5 5 m LC ST πορτοκαλί

The EFB Elektronik O0371.5 5 m LC ST Orange is a multimode OM2 fibre optic patch cable with LC and ST connectors designed for duplex data links in local network environments. The cable has a 62.5 µm core diameter and a 5 metre length, providing a short-distance fibre connection option for equipment with LC and ST terminations. The orange outer jacket denotes multimode fibre in standard cabling colour coding and helps identify the cable inside structured cabling systems.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable supports full duplex transmission and low-loss multimode performance suitable for typical OM2 links. The combination of LC and ST connectors offers compatibility with a wide range of network devices and transceivers. The 5 m length provides a convenient reach for rack-to-rack, patch panel to device, or equipment-to-equipment connections while minimising excess cable slack. The orange jacket increases visual manageability in bundled installations.

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode OM2
• Core diameter: 62.5 µm
• Connectors: LC (one end) to ST (other end)
• Length: 5 m
• Jacket colour: Orange (multimode standard)
• Transmission: Full duplex

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and, if necessary, clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools to avoid signal loss. Insert the LC connector into the LC port and the ST connector into the ST receptacle until the connectors are properly seated; ensure that the connectors are aligned and latched according to the device's connector type. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and physical stress; maintain the manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. Verify link operation with suitable network diagnostic tools or transceivers after connection.

Recommendations

Use this OM2 LC–ST cable for short-range multimode links within equipment rooms and telecommunications closets. Avoid kinking, excessive pulling forces, and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or harsh environments. For longer runs or higher bandwidth requirements, consider using higher-grade multimode classes (OM3/OM4) or singlemode fibre where appropriate.
