The blade has a working length of 175 mm, overall length of 225 mm and a tooth pitch of 2.5 mm, and is suitable for tradespeople who need reliable performance when cutting pipes, profiles and other medium-thickness metal parts up to 8 mm.

Advantages

The EXPERT Medium-Thick Tough Metal blade provides efficient cutting of medium-thickness metal with minimal vibration and improved control. Its construction and tooth geometry are optimized for durability, resulting in a longer lifespan compared with standard blades. The blade’s specification (175 mm working length, 2.5 mm tooth pitch) ensures precise and consistent cuts in steel and stainless steel.

Suitable for

• Cutting steel and stainless steel sheets and profiles up to 8 mm
• Plumbing work — cutting pipes and fittings
• Renovation tasks involving metal frames and supports
• Demolition work where medium-thickness metal sections must be removed

How to use

Fit the Bosch EXPERT reciprocating saw blade to a compatible recip saw according to the tool manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring the blade is securely locked. Mark the cut line on the metal workpiece, start the saw at low speed to position the blade, then increase speed and apply steady, moderate pressure. Allow the blade to cut without forcing; feed the workpiece at a consistent rate to reduce vibration and prevent premature wear. For through-cuts in pipes or profiles, support the workpiece to minimise movement.

Recommendations

Use personal protective equipment (gloves, eye and ear protection) when cutting metal. For best results, select a reciprocating saw with suitable power for cutting up to 8 mm thick steel and check blade condition regularly; replace the blade when cutting performance declines.
