The APC Wireless NetBotz Temperature & Humidity sensor (MPN: NBWS100H) is a compact indoor wireless device for monitoring ambient temperature and relative humidity in data centers, server rooms and distributed network closets. The freestanding sensor measures 38 × 38 × 19 mm, supports RoHS compliance and connects wirelessly to a NetBotz Appliance when used with the NetBotz Wireless Coordinator; a Router is included in select NetBotz appliances.

How to use

Install the sensor in the target indoor location on a flat surface or near the equipment to be monitored. Ensure a NetBotz Wireless Coordinator is present on the network and pair the sensor to the NetBotz Appliance following the appliance pairing procedure. Use the included USB extension cable where necessary to position the sensor for optimal wireless reception. After pairing, verify temperature and humidity readings via the NetBotz Appliance interface and configure alert thresholds as required.

Recommendations

Place the sensor away from direct airflow from vents or cooling units to avoid skewed readings, and ensure the sensor remains within wireless range of the NetBotz Coordinator or router. For larger deployments, distribute sensors to cover hot spots and redundant locations and regularly check battery or power status per appliance documentation.
