The compact adapter supports data connection with USB flash drives, keyboards, mice and similar accessories where native USB host functionality is required. Designed for straightforward plug-and-play use, the adapter is intended for situations that need temporary or mobile peripheral attachment and simple data transfer between devices.

Advantages

The adapter provides a compact and lightweight solution to add OTG functionality without modifying the device or installing software. It offers reliable physical conversion from Micro‑USB (Micro‑B) to a standard USB-A receptacle for connecting common USB peripherals. Its simple construction minimizes compatibility issues and allows quick connection of storage devices and input peripherals for expanded device functionality.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB flash drives for direct file transfer to a Micro‑USB device
• Using USB keyboards and mice with compatible smartphones or tablets
• Attaching USB accessories such as game controllers, card readers or USB hubs (where supported)
• Temporary mobile setups for data backup, file retrieval or peripheral testing

How to use

Plug the Micro‑B male end of the ShiverPeaks adapter into the Micro‑USB port of a compatible smartphone, tablet or device. Insert the USB peripheral into the USB-A female receptacle on the adapter. Remove accessories by safely unmounting storage devices through the host device before unplugging when appropriate.

Recommendations

Use the adapter with devices that explicitly support OTG/USB host mode. For external storage, ensure the host device supports the file system used on the USB flash drive and unmount storage before removal. Avoid applying excessive mechanical force to connectors and keep the adapter dry to maintain reliable connections.
